Waterside Campground FAQ

We are located at 475 Locust Rd, Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Our Central Pennsylvania location is just 35 miles South of State College; 61 miles from Harrisburg; and 83 miles from Williamsport.

Our park is located on the Juniata River and the Historic Pennsylvania Canal, perfect for fishing and canoeing. Our pet friendly RV resort is an easy drive to the Port Royal Speedway, Midway Drive-In, Reeds Gap State Park, Penns’ Cave, and the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center. Guests can also enjoy our location as home base for visits to Hershey Park, Zoo America, The State Capitol Building, Penn State University, Mount Nittany, The Little League World Series, Knobel’s Amusement Park, and World of Little League Museum.

We provide RV sites with full hook-ups (30 & 50 amp), camping cabins, park model rentals, and tent sites.

All our sites are level and a short walk to the office and amenities.

Please inquire with the office for availability. We do allow our guests to bring in and set up their own park model.

We have limited outside RV and boat storage spaces.

Our gated community offers a heated swimming pool as well as a playground, pontoon boat rides, volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoe pits, arcade, bike and hiking trails, and cornhole boards. We have a lodge for our activities and live entertainment as well as a beautiful community firepit. There are two bathhouses in the park and a laundry facility. We have a camp store and propane refills on site, and robust Wi-Fi access park wide (available for an additional cost).

We offer a variety of activities throughout the season. These activities include themed weekends, live music on select dates, arts and crafts, potluck dinners, karaoke, Bingo, Halloween Weekends, Christmas in July, pontoon boat rides, movie nights and much more.

Pets are welcome with restrictions. Exotic animals such as birds, snakes, pigs, ponies, or wild animals are not allowed. The following restricted dog breeds or mixes are also not permitted: Akitas, Doberman Pinschers, Staffordshire Terriers, Huskies, Rottweilers, Chows, Presa Canarios, German Shepherds, Bulldog breeds (including Pitbulls, excluding French Bulldogs), Boerboels, Cane Corsos, Wolf-hybrids, Great Danes, Malamutes, and Bullmastiffs. Any animal showing aggression will not be permitted.

Yes. Proof of rabies vaccination must be presented at check-in. Guests may also submit documentation via email at mgr@watersidecampground.com in advance.

Check-in begins at 2:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily.

We are an inclusive, non-denominational, family-friendly campground that welcomes daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal guests. Activity is especially high during the summer months.

Reservations can be made online through our booking system via the BOOK NOW link or by calling the office at 717-248-3974 directly.

We accept major credit and debit cards with a surcharge of 2.75%. Contact the office at 717-248-3974 or email mgr@watersidecampground.com for other options.

1. Daily Reservations: Full payment is required at the time of booking.

• Cancellations made at least 14 days before the reservation start date will incur a $35 cancellation fee, with the remainder refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before the start date will result in the forfeiture of the payment.

2. Weekly Reservations: Full payment is required at the time of booking.

• Cancellations made at least 30 days before the reservation start date will incur a $95 cancellation fee, with the remainder refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 30 days before the start date will result in the forfeiture of the payment.

3. Monthly Reservations: The first month’s payment is required in full as a deposit at the time of booking.

• Cancellations made at least 60 days before the reservation start date will incur a $295 cancellation fee, with the remainder refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 60 days before the start date will result in the forfeiture of the full first month’s payment.

4. Seasonal Reservations: A non-refundable first installment of $495 is required at the time of booking.

• Cancellations or changes to seasonal reservations are non-refundable and will not be credited.

5. Holiday Reservations: A minimum stay of 3-nights is required on, but not limited to, the following holiday weekends and events: Memorial Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Halloween.

• Cancellations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

6. No Refunds for Early Departures: Refunds will not be issued for early departures under any circumstances.

Yes, campfires are allowed within the Park if protected by fire rings and on stone. Do not leave fires unattended and follow local fire safety guidelines.

Yes, personal golf carts are welcome. All operators must be licensed, insured drivers, follow park rules, and sign a golf cart agreement.

Alcohol is allowed at your campsite. Guests are expected to drink responsibly and follow park policies.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available for an additional fee. Coverage and speed may vary depending on location.

No, however, guests may have Spectrum installed personally at their sites.

Yes, Waterside Campground is an ideal destination for rallies, reunions, and group gatherings. We welcome clubs, groups, and organizations of all sizes to host events here.
